Mirvish-Geary site in Toronto sold for $300 million.
When all the numbers are in, the Greater Toronto Area is expected to have hit its fifth straight record year for commercial real estate sales and total dollar volume in 2017, with land for residential developments among the biggest deals of the year.
These transactions include:
• The $300 million sale of three properties on King Street West in Toronto by Ed Mirvish Enterprises Ltd. to developer Great Gulf. The proposed Mirvish-Geary development will include 82- and 92-storey condominium towers.
• A 111-acre future residential development site on Warden Ave. in Markham was sold to Sentinel Holdings Inc. and Metrus Properties for $296.21 million in December.
• A 290-acre golf course property in Woodbridge was sold by Toronto Region Board of Trade to Clubhouse Developments Inc. for $220 million in May. The developer plans to create a residential enclave on the Humber River site.
