TORONTO – The Ontario Home Builders’ association announced this week that it will be electing James Bazely as its next president at the organization’s Annual General Meeting to be held on September 21, 2009 at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls.
Bazely, who is the owner and president of Gregor Homes, has served on the OHBA’s Executive Committee and as 1st vice president. The Sault Ste. Marie native has also chaired the OHBA’s Builder’s council, OHBA/Tarion Nominations Committee and OHBA’s Accessible Housing Council. Bazely has also served as president of his local association in Simcoe County, and was appointed to the Lake Simcoe Stakeholder Advisory Committee by the Provincial Ministry of Environment. Under his watch the local association built a new home in less than three days for a community charity and also introduced a winter fishing tournament that attracts hundreds of participants and raises funds for Barrie-area organizations.
Gregor Homes specializes in custom and semi-custom home building, landscaping and renovation projects. Bazely studied horticulture and landscaping at the University of Guelph and owned a landscaping company prior to joining Gregor Homes in 2003.
