Ontario Provincial Budget Stays the Course

COCHRANE, Alta. - Ply Gem Canada, a leading manufacturer of window and door products for residential construction in western Canada, has donated 30 doors and more than 80 windows to be featured in two Habitat for Humanity Calgary multiplexes. Each of the two multiplexes will house five families within 1,300 square foot units containing three bedrooms, one and a half baths, a living room, a dining room, an upstairs outdoor balcony, downstairs patio and a garage. The first five-unit multiplex is scheduled to be completed in May, and then construction will begin on the second multiplex. Designed to be 30 percent more energy efficient than traditional homes, the energy efficient windows donated by Ply Gem Canada help earn points toward Built Green certification. For more information on this initiative, visit www.habitatcalgary.ca or www.plygem.ca.
