Doug Tarry Elected President of the Ontario Home Builders’ Association
TORONTO — Doug Tarry has been elected President of the Ontario Home
Builders’ Association (OHBA) for 2011 - 2012 at the organization’s Annual Meeting of Members, held on September 22, 2011 in Toronto. Doug most recently served on OHBA’s Executive Committee as 1st Vice-President and has participated on numerous OHBA committees. He has served as a member of the Ontario Building Code Energy Advisory Council (M.M.A.H.), on OHBA’s Accessible Housing Council and with the
Industry Canada Technology Roadmap Committee on Sustainable Housing. Doug is a past president of the St. Thomas Home Builder’s Association and is chair of the local’s Technical Committee and is also very active in his home community. As a second generation Energy Star Builder, Doug is also a National Award Winning BCIN
Qualified Home Designer trained in HOT 2000 Energy Modeling. In addition, Doug was the Team Leader for Natural Resources Canada’s Solar Ready Pilot Project in 2007-2008.
