CEO Donna Moore Resigns from CHBA – UDI Calgary

CALGARY — It is with mixed emotion that we announce that co-CEO Donna Moore has announced her resignation from CHBA – UDI Calgary Region Association. After 32 years with CHBA – Calgary Region, she states her decision was not an easy one; however, she has full faith that this is the right step for herself and for the future organization.
Donnas’ decision comes on the heels of the amalgamation of CHBA – Calgary Region and UDI – Calgary, with the goal of creating one stronger, unified voice for the industry.
Donna will be greatly missed, but we are confident that she will still have an energetic presence on the industry and we will have the opportunity to draw upon her wisdom and experience whenever needed.
“Donna’s impact on the industry over the past 32 years has left a legacy that cannot be equalled,” says Allan Klassen, chair of CHBA – UDI Calgary Region Association. “Her commitment to our members, our partners and our city has been unwavering and has set the new Association up for success in the future. Donna’s leadership role at all three levels of the association, locally, provincially and nationally will be missed dearly.”
“Donna has had a tremendous impact on all things CHBA, everything from her leadership on the Calgary Home Builders Foundation, the advancement of the SAM awards, our efforts with city council or the growth in our membership over the years,” said Klassen, “the one constant has been Donna Moore.”
To recognize Donna and thank her for her years of service we will be announcing a very special event to occur in the not too distant future, more on this to come 
 “With this decision, the CHBA - UDI Calgary Region Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Guy Huntingford as the new CEO of CHBA - UDI Calgary Region effective immediately. We know we are in capable hands with Guy at the helm, his years of experience in our city and our industry will aid him as he leads our organization forward into the future as we are unified as the respected voice representing the industry at large,” said Klassen.
“As we move forward to a new chapter for our amalgamated association, I am privileged to have the opportunity to lead our dedicated team and continue driving value for our members,” said Guy Huntingford, CEO, CHBA – UDI Calgary Region Association.
This journey of integrations and amalgamations are always one of twists and turns, and much change. Donna was the seventh CEO of an Association that underwent seven name changes during its 70 year history. Industry and staff wish Donna the very best as we look forward to our next 70 years.
