December 12, 2019
Chris Ballard
Ontario’s former Minister of Housing has been named CEO of Passive House Canada/Maison Passive Canada (PHC). Chris Ballard was appointed to the position November 26 in Victoria, replacing Rob Bernhardt.
Ballard also served as Ontario’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change. He is a past executive director of the Consumers’ Association of Canada (Ontario), a founding board member of the Consumers Council of Canada, and served terms as president of the Public Affairs Association of Canada.
“The opportunities Passive House Canada offers to make a difference at this pivotal time are tremendous - and create a responsibility to get it right,” Ballard said.
Founded in 2016, PHC is a national non-profit professional association. It facilitates the adoption of energy-efficient Passive House buildings through advocacy, education, events, member services and technical advice.
