Jeld-Wen opens new tri-pane window
January 14, 2020
Jeld-Wen Window and Doors will use the Western Retail Lumber Association (WRLA) 2020 Buying Show taking place in Calgary from January 22-24 to introduce its new line of windows, the Northern Tri-Pane Collection.
Jeld-Wen, which is known for its energy-saving fenestration products, said its new tri-pane windows offer “unique performance benefits” and meet the standard of the Energy Star program.
As of January 1, 2020, Energy Star requirements changed for Canada. There are no longer three separate zones with three separate sets of performance criteria. Instead, there is one single zone that encompasses all of Canada with one set of increased criteria. The Northern Tri-Pane Collection already meets these Energy Star requirements, and Jeld-Wen confirmed it will sell the windows nationally.
The Northern Tri-Pane windows with two coats of low-E and argon gas filling have an ER rating of from 28 to 32.
“Over the last two years, we have invested significantly to further advance our manufacturing capabilities,” said Robert Conway, Jeld-Wen’s Canadian president and general manager. “These investments have led to exciting developments in our vinyl and hybrid windows, our interior doors, and in how we deliver complete solutions, replacement parts, and value-added services to our customers.”
Since starting with just 16 employees in 1960, Jeld-Wen has become a global leader in windows and doors with international reach and a team of over 21,000 experts.
