Three of the 10 biggest construction projects underway in Canada are residential, according to a survey published by Daily Commercial News, and these totalled nearly $160 million.
The largest residential developments are the $100 million, 426-unit
Baydo Towers in Saskatoon by Baydo Development Corp.; Podium Development Corp.’s $29 million, 159-unit University Suites rental project in Kingston, Ontario; and Regency Developments Ltd.’s $30 million, 150-unit Holyrood Gardens in Edmonton, a phase one development of what will become a four-building high-rise complex of four towers with a total of 1,200 units. The single biggest construction project underway in Canada is a $718 million civil engineering design-build upgrade to Highway 104 in Nova Scotia, Daily Commercial News reported.
