A luxury residence complete with its own island in Nova Scotia will go to live auction June 14, 2023, in New York City—marking the debut of Canadian luxury homes at the iconic Sotheby’s New York auction house.
Vollebak Island, located off the coast of Nova Scotia, is set to be auctioned by Sotheby’s Concierge Auctions in co-operation with Sotheby’s International Realty Canada listing agent Angie Bryant and Scott Bryant, regional director, Atlantic Canada.
With an estimated price of between US$5 million and US$10 million, the island is a “utopia conceptualized by globally renowned architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group,” Sotheby’s stated.
Completely self-sufficient, the island boasts a diverse ecosystem of dense forests and over 11 acres of land to explore. The luxury residence is virtually merged into the island and nearly invisible from water or air.
A luxury property in B.C.’s Okanagan is also included in the auction. Listed for $15.5 million, Sterling Manor, at Penticton, is a modern masterpiece estate on Okanagan Lake.
